Solidarity Quilt

In November, I contributed two blocks to the Austin Modern Quilt Guild‘s charity quilt for the Artists Against Cancer fundraiser benefiting one of our members. Bobbi put the top together (and took these photos), and Jessica and Robin quilted it.

The two requirements were that we use only solid fabrics in our blocks and that we avoid lighter colors around the edges, so the blocks would pop against the white border. Everyone did a superb job, and the quilt turned out beautifully. It amazes me that so many different styles and colors came together into a cohesive quilt top.
